Stafford served as Strategic Advisor to the City of Anaheim on various arena and sports team operations issues as they pertain to a potential second sports franchise at the 17,100-seat Honda Center. Stafford provided guidance to the City on current industry practices and trends with regard to the business operations and requirements of a professional sports tenant.

Broward County, FL - BB&T Center

On behalf of Broward County, Stafford served as Owner’s Representative for development of the 20,000-seat BB&T Center. Developed and implemented financing plan for the project, led lease negotiations, and served as owners' representative during construction.

Stafford was rehired on two occasions to develop Operating proformas for financial restructuring and to evaluate planned Capital Improvements.

Cedar Park, TX - Cedar Park Center
Business Plan


Stafford completed a Business Plan for the development of the 7,000-seat Cedar Park Center. Stafford was subsequently retained by the City of Cedar Park to lead Negotiations with private management companies and assist in the development of a Finance Plan.

Harris County, TX - Minute Maid Park
Strategic Advisor


Stafford acted as advisor to Harris County, TX, worked on implementation of a city/county Sports Authority, enabling legislation and developing framework for agreement with MLB Astros on 41,000-seat Minute Maid Park.

Hidalgo, TX - State Farm Arena
Business Plan


Stafford completed a Business Plan, including Market Analysis, Review of Facility Related Commercial Opportunities & Design Program Analysis, which led to City of Hidalgo securing financing for the 7,500-seat State Farm Arena (formerly Dodge Arena).

Houston, TX - Toyota Center

Stafford served as Strategic Advisor for the planning and financing of a 18,300-seat Toyota Center in Downtown Houston.

Laredo, TX - Laredo Energy Arena
Negotiation Services


Stafford represented the City of Laredo in contract negotiations with developer of the 10,000-seat Laredo Entertainment Center.

Mobile, AL - Mobile Civic Center
Business Plan, Revenue Generation


Stafford developed a Business Plan for the Mobile Civic Center complex that included key market analysis and addressed industry competitive issues. Stafford provided operational recommendations for short and long-term revenue generation.

Norfolk, VA - Harbor Park
Negotiation Services


Stafford was retained by the City of Norfolk to assist in securing a long-term lease with the AAA Norfolk Tides at Norfolk’s Harbor Park Stadium. Stafford provided an overview of comparable AAA lease agreements and served as part of the City’s team that negotiated a Business Term Sheet and Long-Term Agreement.

Oakland, CA - Oakland Alameda Coliseum Authority

In conjunction with the Golden State Warriors, the Oakland Alameda Coliseum Authority retained Stafford to provide a Business Audit of Oracle Arena, which included a series of recommendations for booking, marketing and operational improvements.

Stafford provided Operational Planning and Design Services, including facility requirements, event booking procedures, event management and procurement of FF&E for the 5,000-seat multipurpose facility.

Orlando, FL - Amway Center

Stafford represented the City of Orlando in contract negotiations with NBA Orlando Magic for development of new 18,000-seat Amway Center.

Stafford provided operational proformas and negotiated contractual documents for private management and AHL tenant on behalf of Polk County, IA, for 17,000-seat Wells Fargo Arena, the 50,000 sq.ft. Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center and the 115,000 sq. ft. Hy-Vee Exhibit Hall.

Stafford Sports continues to serve as Strategic Advisor to Polk County regarding the multi-use complex.

Rochester, NY - Blue Cross Arena

Stafford provided Negotiation Services for the City of Rochester. Stafford led the Negotiation process for a new facility management agreement, as well as new Tenancy Agreements for the AHL Rochester Amerks and the NLL Rochester Knighthawks.

Seattle, WA - New NBA Arena
Owner's Representative


Stafford was retained by the City of Seattle to serve as Strategic Advisor on all aspects of the development of a new, state-of-the-art arena which would house an NBA franchise. Stafford provided guidance on negotiation of a term sheet and all contractual documents with the development team. Stafford also provided guidance to the City on industry standards for inclusion in the arena.

Stafford developed a Business Plan, which included a market and industry analysis and a financial operating proforma for 17,000-seat Intrust Bank Arena.

State of Pennsylvania - Penn. Farm Show Complex
Market Analysis


Stafford completed a Market and Industry Analysis for development of new event opportunities for the 10,000-seat and 3,500-seat arenas at the event complex.

Chester County, PA - New Arena
Business Plan


Stafford completed a Business Plan for Chester County and West Chester University for development of a proposed 6,000-seat Convocation Center and 1,000-capacity Banquet Hall.

Camden County, NJ - New Arena
Business Plan


Completed Business Plan for Camden County Improvement Authority for development of 7,000-seat Regional Civic Center.

Tucson, AZ - New Arena
